Shana Thomas is the creator behind Im-Worthy.com, food photographer, and wellness advocate. Her work centers around inspiring busy women to live energetic, healthy lives with wholesome recipes and approachable wellness tips. Shana spends her time connecting with members in her Facebook group by offering support to those transitioning to veganism, encouragement, and providing educational resources on how food impacts our society, mind, and body. Also, she dedicates her time to supporting organizations that seek to make healthy food accessible to everyone.
I had been curious about making changes to my lifestyle as I was struggling with digestive issues and acne for several years. A few years ago my co-worker (at the time), educated me how she was thriving living a plant-based lifestyle. In November 2017, I started watching vegan food tutorials on YouTube and was quickly inspired by all the delicious food I saw being created. After living on an animal-based diet my entire life I knew the transition would not be easy but that it would be worth it.
My mission is to create easy healthy meals and provide educational resources to help you live your best life. – Shana
On January 1st, 2018, I made the switch to plant-based living (no animal products). There were days I was so tempted to give up as my head would fill with negative thoughts, and it was very isolating at times because my family and closes friends couldn’t relate to my transition. Through the grace of God, I pushed through those moments and the more I shared my journey with others and educated myself on nutrition and the impact of the animal farming industry the more people wanted to know.
