Welcome to my new home decor series here on the blog. In this post, I’ll be sharing my small living room ideas with you.
Since moving to my new place, I’ve been super excited to decorate and share my learnings and style for a modern small living room. It has high ceilings, white walls on one side, and gray cabinets with a similar backsplash on the other side of the room. With floor-to-ceiling windows, it makes the room feel bigger and brighter. I used complimentary light colors mostly, with splashes of different colors here and there.
My living room has an open layout that includes the kitchen as well. The open layout makes the room feel larger than it is. By the space being limited, I was very intentional about the pieces of furniture I chose.
Small Living Room Ideas
Let’s chat about my sofa! I love love love my sofa. This sofa is a mid-century modern sofa from Living Spaces. I wanted to find an affordable sofa, a shade of gray, and comfortable. It’s a sofa (love seat) and chaise separately and combined as a sectional. Click here to check out my sofa.

Floor Lamp Ideas
My floor lamp is simple but classic. I always wanted an arc floor lamp and finally got one. It fits perfectly behind my sectional. There is plenty of floor space behind the sofa that I use as my photography studio. Check out these floor lamps below.
Coffee table Inspiration
This faux marble coffee table is just the right size for my minimalist living room. For now, I keep coasters and vases on the table that offers a monochromatic look. Alternatively, this table can work as a side table. See more details by checking out all the links to my table and more below.
TV Stand Ideas
My tv stand is the Nathan James Wesley Scandinavian TV Stand. I love the color contrast and I use the storage for games and DVDs. I’ll link mine below along with a few others.
Small Kitchen Ideas
My kitchen area has a gray backsplash that I love. The countertops and kitchen island have a quartz countertop. The kitchen island is custom-made and paired with these cotton hand-weaved counter stools. Additionally, I always keep fresh green flowers in this vase. I usually get my flowers from Whole Foods Market. For more details about my counter stools and similar kitchen island, check out the links below!
