How to cook spaghetti squash (quick and easy)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 spaghetti squash
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp grapeseed oil sub for oil of your choice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise using a sharp knife.*
  • Once the squash is cut in half, scoop out the seeds with a large spoon and place them in a container for roasting later.  
  • Then add the squash to a baking tray. Next, drizzle with grapeseed oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  • Turn the squash cut side down and roast in the oven for 35-40 minutes. It depends on the size of your squash.
  • Remove from the oven to cool for a few minutes. Once cooled, the top side may be caved in a little as it just means it's cooked through. 
  • Flip your squash back over again and use a fork to gently scrape the inside. 
  • The spaghetti squash will naturally form spaghetti-like strands that are ready to eat as is or added to any recipe of your choice. Enjoy!

Notes

* If the spaghetti squash is too firm, put it in the microwave for a few minutes.
