  • 2 very ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar or organic brown sugar, plus more for topping
  • 3/4 cup almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/3 cup avocado oil use neutral oil of your choice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1.5 cup all purpose flour sub for gluten-free flour (if needed)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray and 9x5inch loaf pan with a bit of oil. 
  • Mix the wet ingredients: Combine the mashed bananas, sugar, almond milk, grapeseed oil, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and whisk until combined. 
  • Add the dry ingredients: flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until just combined. Pour into the prepared pan and chopped walnuts and extra brown sugar. 
  • Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the bread comes out clean. Serve and enjoy!
